Current events

Due to the current situation, caused by the Corona pandemic, events are mainly digital.

Students and interested guests are very welcome to attend the Expert Discussion on Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, the Karlsruhe Karst Lectures and the International Distinguished Lectures!

Geological Colloquium

In the geological colloquium, different speakers are invited to talk about topics in the field of engineering and hydrogeology. It usually takes place every Thursday between 10:00 and 11:00 during the lecture period. In the winter semester 20/21, all dates are offered as virtual events due to the current corona situation. Students and KIT members please register via ILIAS to get access to the stream. Interested guests are welcome to contact Tanja Liesch or Gabriel Rau by e-mail.

Karlsruhe Karst Lectures

The internationally leading heads of karst research present lectures on exciting scientific and practical questions of karst hydrogeology and speleology.

International Distinguished Lectures

Lectures by internationally renowned scientists on various topics of hydrogeology take place at irregular intervals, sometimes as part of lecture series such as Darcy Lecture, Birdsall-Dreiss Distinguished Lecture and LaMoreaux Lecture.

Brown Bag Seminar

In the internal Brown Bag Seminar our PhD students present their current research results over coffee and cake.
